Celebrate your server's anniversary

Birthday Bot can post a yearly announcement on the anniversary of your server's creation. Choose a channel and a post time; the creation date comes from Discord.

Open your server dashboard

On the website

Choose your server and open Server anniversary. The page shows when the server was created and when its next anniversary falls.
Choose a Channel for the announcement.
Set Post time, using the server's time zone. Check Server settings if that clock needs changing.
Set Ping to choose who to notify. With Premium, you can also change Post mode.
Press Save changes.
To write your own announcement, open Messages and choose Server anniversary. See Customize your messages.

What success looks like

On the anniversary, Birthday Bot posts in the selected channel at your chosen hour. A custom message could look like this:

If you have not written a custom message, the bot uses its default announcement. It celebrates completed years, so creating a server today does not trigger an anniversary announcement today.

Common problems

Nothing was posted. Check that Channel is set and resolve any dashboard permission warnings. Missing permissions explains the next steps.
The time looks wrong. This celebration always uses the server's time zone. See A message was posted at the wrong time.
My custom message was not used. Check placeholder availability and make sure you chose the server-anniversary message type.

Using Discord instead

Use the editing command for announcement settings and the message commands for custom wording. The test command lets you try a celebration without waiting for the date.
