I cannot use a command

If a command is missing or refused, check its badges in the command reference and read the bot's reply. Permissions, where you run it, voting checks, and Premium can each affect access.
Many server settings can also be changed on the website. Use Set up birthday celebrations or Server settings if that is the task you are trying to complete.
The command requires staff permission
Check: Find it in Commands. Manage Server marks commands that require that permission by default. Ask server staff to check Birthday Bot under Server Settings → Integrations, then Manage, because the server can change who may use commands.
Fix: Ask staff to run the command or allow the appropriate role, member, or channel in that integration's settings.
You are trying a server-only command in a direct message
Check: Look for Works in DMs in Commands. Commands without that badge are registered for use in servers.
Fix: Run it in the Discord server you want to configure, with Birthday Bot present there.
The bot asks you to vote
Check: Look for Needs a vote in Commands and read the bot's voting prompt. When voting checks are enabled, these commands require a recent vote unless the server has Premium.
Fix: Follow the vote link in the prompt, then try again. List page buttons check the same rule. Birthday lists explains how this affects browsing.
The command needs Premium
Check: Look for Premium in Commands, then check the selected server on the Premium page.
Fix: Use the command in the server that has Premium, or upgrade the intended server. If you already paid for that server, follow I bought Premium but it is not active.
Birthday Bot lacks a permission
Check: Read the permissions named in the bot's reply. These are permissions Birthday Bot needs, separately from your own permission to use the command.
Fix: Ask server staff to grant the named permission, then retry. Missing permissions explains the dashboard checks and Discord fix paths.
What success looks like
The command appears in the correct place and accepts your request without a permission, vote, Premium, or wait prompt. Use Commands for its current options and required fields.
