This is every command Birthday Bot adds to Discord. Type / in a server with the bot to use one. Almost everything here can also be done on the website, which is usually quicker.

How to read this page

Manage Server marks commands that, by default, only members with Discord's Manage Server permission can see.
Works in DMs marks commands you can also use in a direct message with the bot.
Premium marks commands for Premium features.
Needs a vote marks commands that ask you to vote for Birthday Bot first if you have not voted recently. Voting is free, /vote gives you the link, and servers with Premium skip this.
An option marked required must be filled in. Optional ones can be left out.

Name Format: How the bot formats names.
Date Format: How the bot formats dates.
Image Format: How should the bot show images in embedded custom messages.
Time Zone: The time zone the bot uses to send messages.
Use Time Zone: If the bot should use the server's time zone or the user's time zone.
Disable Ages: Whether birth years/ages are shown in this server. This overrides users' settings.
Zodiac Auto Assign: Whether the bot should auto assign zodiac roles.
Member Anniversary Remove Old Roles: If the bot should remove old member anniversary roles.
reset optional · yes or no: Whether to reset the setting to the default value.

/suggest

Suggest a birthday for another user. The user must confirm the suggestion.

user required · member: The user you are suggesting a birthday for. They will have to confirm this information at the end.
date optional · text: Their birthday.
time_zone optional · text: Their time zone. Find this with /map!
year optional · whole number · 1900 to 2100: The year they were born. Hidden from all servers by default.

color required · text: What color this custom message should be. Color only shows if the message is embedded.

Edit the footer of a message. Only works for custom messages that are embedded.

Right-click commands

Right-click a member (or press and hold on a phone), choose Apps, and pick View Birthday! and View Anniversary! to look someone up without typing a command.

Common problems

A command does not show up when I type /. Commands marked Manage Server are hidden from members without that permission, and commands without the Works in DMs mark only show up inside a server. Your server's staff may also have changed who can use it.
No Birthday Bot commands show up at all. Update your Discord app first: an out-of-date app can miss new commands. Then check that the bot is in the server. If it is, a staff member may have turned its commands off for your role or channel in Server Settings, under Integrations.
